He beat David Cameron, Lady GaGa, Liam Gallagher and Nick Clegg to the former accolade, whilst Coldplay's Mylo Xyloto, Lady GaGa's Born This Way, One Direction's Up All Night and Viva Brother's Famous Last Words were the "losing" albums.
